Marissa Branson is a graduate of Elon University School of Law. She assists clients with custody matters and high-conflict custody cases. She also handles divorce, separation agreements, domestic violence and 50B matters, and equitable distribution. Marissa has always focused her practice primarily on family law and joined the team at Woodruff Family Law Group in 2025 as a welcome addition.

Hobbies

In her free time, Marissa enjoys camping and hiking, and has hiked over 30 of the State Parks in North Carolina. As a lifelong musician, she plays French horn and played the mellophone in the Tarheel marching band at the University of North Carolina for four years.

Dogs or Cats?

Both! She has two dogs, Frida and Tater, as well as two cats, Muriel and Georgia.

Guilty Pleasure

Marissa enjoys handicrafts, including knitting, sewing, and quilting. During the winter, she loves spending time catching up on her reading list and listening to music.
