The Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro is an organization of women helping women to navigate life’s challenges through advocacy and education.  This local non-profit agency provides access to community resources, workshops, and other educational programs, and career and financial counseling to women of all ages and backgrounds.

Woodruff Family Law Group enthusiastically supports this invaluable and unique asset to our community through our participation in the Women’s Resource Center’s signature fund-raiser, “Men Can Cook!”  Held at the Coliseum Event Center, “Men Can Cook!” showcases up to 50 community chefs and a silent auction.  Each year, the male staff here at Woodruff Family Law Group tie up their apron strings and get cookin’ to show their support of resources that empower women.

This awesome, fun (and food) filled event helps provide the funds that allow the Women’s Resource Center of Greensboro to continue such programs as:

  • The Legal Resource Network
  • Women to Work
  • Community Resource Counseling
  • Financial/Debt Counseling
  • Women’s Empowerment Self-Esteem Series and
  • A variety of workshops and educational programs on topics such as divorce, child rearing, and mental health – all relevant to the daily hurdles women face every day.
